The mfm ib3 icebuster self adhering ice and water underlayment is a mineral surfaced roofing underlayment for use under asphalt shingles and other types of roofing. It is constructed from a strong layer of mesh bonded to rubberized asphalt and coated with black stone granules. This ice and water roofing underlayment installs under roofing at the edges and valleys to protect from leaks due to ice dams melting snow and blowing rain. Ideal for re-roofing or new construction applications the ib3 ice buster self adhering underlayment from mfm will apply directly to the roof deck at eaves valleys vents skylights and chimneys. End laps and side laps must be coated with asphalt roofing mastic for a waterproof seal. May be left exposed for up to 30 days. 5 Year limited warranty.
