Boasting compact dark-green heads and foliage ramoso santana broccoli is fast to harvest at about 8-10 weeks and like other broccolis and leafy greens can be continuously harvested throughout the season by trimming the side shoots. Broccoli is a cool weather crop that can be started indoors or sown directly in the early spring or fall. For early starts begin indoors 6-8 weeks prior to final frost. Sow 2-3 seeds in. Deep per cell or every 3 inches in the garden in organically fertile well-drained soil in full sun. Germinates in 3-10 days thinning back to one plant per pot or 12-20 in. Apart in garden once true leaves establish. About 12 000 seeds per ounce.
