These small smoked dried sausages are based on a traditional polish snack and are made from pork shoulder. The name kabanosy comes from the nickname kabanek given to a fat young pig that was fed mostly potatoes in eastern poland. As a rule kabanosy are quite long but thin. The process of their preparation and the resulting exceptional taste and aroma are the features that distinguish kabanos from any other sausages. One of the most popular polish sausages and probably the best sausage in the world kabanosy are dry in texture and smoky in taste. Ingredients: pork is their main ingredient. It is seasoned with pepper garlic light traces of cumin and allspice and then smoked and air-dried to remove excess moisture. They are usually eaten on their own as an appetizer and are often served with cheese. The product is supplied in sealed packaging. For best results let the meat cool completely in the refrigerator before serving.
