Produced by koda and kd the light tank was considered advanced for its time featuring a 37mm main gun a 49mm-thick frontal armor plate and a reliable praga engine. Once absorbed into the wehrmacht it was designated pz.Kpfw.35 T with the t standing for tschechisch czech acknowledging its origin.Pz.Kpfw.35 T played a key role in early world war ii campaigns. During the invasion of poland in 1939 the tank performed well against polish forces providing mobile armored support to germany’s fast-moving divisions. It was again employed during the battle of france in 1940 where its agility and firepower proved sufficient against allied light armor.
