This weeks secret stash is an ecuadorian lactic washed sidra roasted by monta coffee leesburg, va . This coffee has tropical notes of mango and pineapple with a yogurty body. I find this to be one of the most unique presentations of sidra due to the lactic washed process. When brewing this coffee it smells like a banana smoothie you get an enhanced layering yogurt of processing that is tied to a very clean and well structured yellow fruit acidity. Once cooled, you get yogurt processing with vibrant yellow fruits and a clean finish. I think this is a coffee that will be very much enjoyed by both washed and natural coffee drinkers. As always, please rest this coffee for a few weeks before brewing this is a coffee that will really start opening up around 4 weeks off roast.
